Corter Leather

Corter Leather is a super-small, one man operation. Every product is 100% hand

made by maker Eric Heins in a small bedroom studio in Boston, Massachusetts.
Holes are punched and sewn by hand, hardware is set with a mallet and with no
templates are ever made, each piece is cut by memory, making no two pieces
perfectly alike. Eric has also done some amazing work to help the relief in Japan
and raised $25,000 with the release of his beautiful special edtion leather braclet.
You can see more of Corters stunning creations here. Great work Eric.

Simon Perini - Photography

Photographer Simon Perini lives in a small coastal town on the south coast of NSW
Aunstralia, he creates his stunning work with the help of his large collection of
unwanted vintage cameras rejected by owners for their lack of megapixels, its these
thrift store finds that give Simons work that 'found in shoebox in your grandparents
basement' feel.

Independent skate publication Skatebook is being sued by Twentieth Century
Fox Film Corporation over its use of Bart Simpson in one of its issues. The
media giant, owned by News Corporation, is suing the media minnow of
Skatebook – ie. publisher Mike Ballard – for unauthroised use of Simpson's

Penny Australia

While recently in Australia i stumbled upon these great little boards by Penny

Australia, first produced in the 70's the new Australian company is taking
things back, way back to where it all began with Plastic Injection Molded
boards perfect for carving and cruising, the boards come in an array of colors
and at 57cm x 15cm these boards are just the perfect travelling board. I'm
not a 100% sure if these are available outside Australia yet but you can find
out more here.

Birdwell Beach Britches

Today down in Venice Beach i stopped by the brilliant Mollusk Surf Shop, came
across some Birdwell Britches board shorts, founded in 1961 by Carrie "Surfin
Granny" Birdwell Mann, they come in over 20 colors and are just a great pair
of shorts that feel like they will last forever. The Birdwell trunks sit at a traditional
waist, so i suggest picking up these two sizes larger then your normal waist, this
will give the trunks a more loose and modern fit at the hip.
